What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Over The Moon’s very own Tani Greenspan got engaged earlier this year to Jack Koch and has been planning her spring 2023 nuptials at the New Orleans Botanical Garden. As Tani expertly merchandises most of the curated collections and edits you see on overthemoon.com, who better to share her Dream Registry—which crosses over a lot with her actual OTM Registry?

Tani describes her own aesthetic as maximalist. “I love patterns and different materials and primarily hunting for found objects that can stand the test of time,” she shares. “We currently have textured wallpaper covering both our walls and ceilings, so decorating has been more difficult than in the blank spaces we’ve previously lived in. The flocked wallpaper lends itself to a neutral palette for larger pieces, but also makes it easy to blend antiques—wallpaper is from the early 1900s—and fun things I come across in all of the incredible thrift/vintage shops around town and of course all of the items and artwork we’ve been lucky enough to have from family members. I love love love candles and objets of any sort that add texture to any space. No corner has been left untouched.”

For design inspiration, Tani often glances at work by Anne Wagoner, Noel Pittman, Andre Brown, Michael Smith, and Heather Chadduck.

The bride-to-be’s must-haves for her Dream Registry are all tabletop items, like the Carolina Irving & Daughters plates, Maison Margaux cactus glassware, and Loulou La Dune linens. She of course needed the Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage dinnerware. “I love the texture of these pieces and how fun it is to picture serving our annual Friendsgiving turkey—that Jack expertly carves—on that platter!” Tani exclaims.

Tani’s OTM Registry is also an excellent opportunity to acquire pieces she’s long coveted. “The New York Stoneware confit jar is something I’ve had my eye on since before I started working at OTM!” Tani reveals. “We have a large tea olive tree in the front yard and in the fall, it smells absolutely incredible. I’ve been dreaming of clipping some branches and arranging them in this large clay vase.”

And the Sabre bistrot place setting was an important add. “Right now we have a mish-mosh of three different sets of cutlery, and it drives me INSANE,” Tani shares.

The bride leaves us with this expert advice for couple’s making their registries for the first time like herself: “As a couple who loves to spend time in the kitchen and entertaining our friends, we found that we had a lot of the traditional registry items that I would probably have started with otherwise, so rather than starting with the basics that we would purchase ourselves, we wanted to add items that would elevate our dinner parties and entertaining spaces. I think this is a great chance to add those items you’ve had your eye on but never could justify getting for yourself—like that extra set of fun dessert plates or seasonal table linens.”
