After seven years together, photographer Arash Karmikhanzand proposed to Ayda Hadi, a German influencer, in their apartment with their closest friends and family. “It was a total surprise for me, and when I entered the apartment, he was waiting for me on the balcony holding a bunch of red roses,” she recalls.
Once engaged, the two started planning their civil wedding. The pair had to postpone their larger wedding twice due to the pandemic, so they shifted plans and wanted to have a small ceremony at Rittergut von Holle, followed by an intimate reception dinner at HAVN in Hanover.
For her wedding outfit, Ayda wanted to wear something classic and elegant and focused on spotlighting her footwear the most. Years before saying, “I do,” the bride knew the Jimmy Choo Sacora pearl heels would be her bridal shoes. And in order to show them off, she chose a shorter wedding dress by Tayfun Kaba, styled with a long beaded veil and Arsha Jewellery baubles.
On the day-of, Ayda got ready with Akyel, who created glamorous waves in her hair. The bride also held a beautiful white bouquet by Bluemen Hoffman GbR. Later on in the night, Ayda made a quick change into another Tayfun Kaba design for dancing.
On August 27, 2021, the rain only made the indoor ceremony that much more romantic. “I was very excited but also happy to say yes to the love of my life,” Ayda says of the service.
After being announced as husband and wife, the two stayed at the manor to cut their cake by Mundus and do a traditional sword dance before heading to HAVN. For the reception, the aesthetic was “modern elegance in bright colors,” Ayda explains. The newlyweds had their first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran—encapsulating the wedding day to a tee.
