Years after Bailey Ann Bell and Hayden Cole Layne grew up down the street from each other and attended the same middle school, he asked her father for his permission to propose at their family’s ranch. She thought she was going to her 25th birthday celebration but instead pulled up to a big oak tree that was adorned in pink and white florals. Resting by the roots was the ring, and Bailey of course said yes!

Once engaged, the couple sought a timeless venue and quickly booked The Breakers in Palm Beach. “It’s actually a coincidence because my father happened to be there on business and he sent Hayden and I a picture of the ballroom and said, ‘If y’all ever get married, I’d do it here.’ Safe to say we took his advice and ran with it,” Bailey smiles. To help bring their vision to life, the duo brought on Over The Moon Top Planner Heather Lowenthal of Posh Parties, and Jacqui Cole and Clayton Film Co. were behind their lenses all weekend. Kara Anne Paper set the tone with a beautiful crest and invitation suite.

For Bailey’s spring wedding weekend wardrobe, she turned to Over The Moon Style Director Grace Givens for bridal styling. “I was so happy I had Grace from Over The Moon to help me make sure every outfit was styled for each event,” the bride beams. “She helped me put together all of my looks throughout the weekend from the outfit to the accessories.”

Hayden’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner in the Hanging Garden at The Colony. To this, Bailey wore Alexandra Pijut’s Rhea corset top and Effie pencil skirt in a custom white shade with an Olympia Le-Tan clutch, Lizzie Fortunato earrings, and Larroudé shoes. The bridal luncheon followed, and Bailey looked modernly classic in the Danarys New York Justine jacket and Kingsley shorts with a Chanel clutch and The Row mules. To the welcome party, the bride went vintage with a Christian Dior by John Galliano dress from Happy Isles with Christian Louboutin heels and Valere earrings.

On the morning-of, Bailey got ready in the Petite Plume white silk short set and long robe. She then changed into her floral lace Monique Lhuillier wedding dress with blush undertones.

Etoilly Artistry creative directed all the beauty based on what Grace had lined up, fashion-wise. “They wanted to match the glam to each outfit and give each event its own identity,” the bride explains. And each bridesmaid complemented Bailey well in Jenny Yoo dresses.

On May 25, 2024, the ballroom was completely transformed by Renny & Reed into a floral cathedral, and the aisle was lined with white blooms. Bailey walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her father to meet Hayden at the altar, while EastCoast Entertainment’s string quartet soundtracked the momentous moment.

After exchanging vows and a first kiss as a married duo, the newlyweds met their guests in the reception space with lush stems of blush, white, and green flowers. “We wanted to embrace Palm Beach colors but add southern charm and sophistication,” Bailey says. “Renny & Reed was able to make the ballroom feel like you were at the most elegant and intimate dinner party even though we had 270 guests.”

Following the delicious meal, dessert came in the form of the famous Breakers giant martini sundaes, featuring three scoops of ice cream, berries, and five different sugary toppings—and of course the towering tiered wedding cake was cut.

For the rest of the evening, guests danced to the 11-piece Powerhouse: Next Generation band’s roaring sounds. The father of the bride’s speech even included him getting up on stage and singing “Daddy Walked The Line” with the band’s accompaniment. And the newlyweds had their first dance to “I Remember Everything” by Zach Bryan. “It’s not a traditional wedding song, but it was played a lot during our time [being] engaged and became one of our favorite songs,” Bailey shares.

Then, the bride exited to change into her second look, a high-low Monique Lhuillier floral-printed dress with Nak Armstrong pearl studs and Chan Luu’s freshwater pearl collar necklace.

Once the reception formally closed, the fête moved to Almond for the after-party. To end the night, Bailey changed again into a custom ice blue Alexandra Pijut Devi dress, paired with Mach & Mach heels.

The next morning, the newlyweds said farewell to guests on the Ocean Lawn. Bailey recharged in a La Vie Style House caftan with Loewe sunglasses and the Over The Moon Exclusive Follow Suit Flora one-piece, before the new Laynes headed to Saint Barths for their romantic, tropical honeymoon.
