Jennifer Lopez Turns 49! A Look at Back at Her 3 Weddings

By Over The Moon

Happy birthday J.Lo! The singer/actress/fragrance mogul/reality show host turns 49 today, but let’s be honest, you can hardly tell because she seems to be aging in reverse—have you seen her latest pic on Instagram? In honor of the hardest working woman in show business, we’re taking a look back at the self-proclaimed love addict’s three weddings. “I’ve been married a couple of times,” she told James Corden during her Carpool Karaoke segment. “I’m still trying to get it right!” And while there hasn’t been any hint of an upcoming engagement with her current beau, Alex Rodriguez, we’re not going to entirely rule out the idea of a fourth walk down the aisle when it comes to Jenny from the block.

Wedding #1

In 1997, long before Jennifer Lopez became J.Lo, the then 28-year-old actress married Cuban waiter Ojani Noa. For her wedding, the singer wore a lace columnn dress and flowers in her updo. The two were together for a little over a year, ultimately divorcing in January 1998 after her career took off. But unfortunately for J.Lo, her first marriage has continued to cause quite a few headaches long after it ended. The singer has sued Noa multiple times, first to try and stop him from publishing a tell-all book about their relationship, and later to try and bar him from sharing a private video of their honeymoon in Cuba.

Wedding #2

For her second wedding to back-up dancer Cris Judd in 2001, J.Lo stepped it up a notch and chose a lace Valentino wedding gown. The couple had met on the set of the music video for her song “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” and got engaged after just a few months of dating. Despite attempts to make their wedding at a private home in Calabasas an intimate affair, Judd later shared that “it was a circus.” “I think several people got arrested trying to climb up a mountain,” he told Us Weekly. “We actually rented the airspace.” Sadly, their marriage only lasted nine months and soon after the singer moved on with Gigli co-star Ben Affleck. But there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the two exes, as during a 2014 appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live!, Lopez called Judd “an amazing person, who I love.”

Wedding #3

Just six months after breaking off her engagement with Affleck, Lopez married her longtime friend and collaborator Marc Anthony in 2004. (If you think that was quick, consider the fact that Anthony got divorced from his first wife, model Dayanara Torres, only days before tying the knot with Lopez.) For her third walk down the aisle, Lopez kept things decidedly low key, hosting a surprise ceremony for only 40 guests at her Beverly Hills home. But even though their wedding was small, J.Lo wasn’t going to skimp on her bridal look. She chose a strapless Vera Wang dress and head-to-toe Neil Lane jewelry for the occasion. Seven years later, the two singers split but remain close friends and co-parents to their adorable 10-year-old twins, Max and Emme.
