On the heels of his big World Series win, Kate Upton and Houston Astros’ pitcher Justin Verlander tied the knot in front of family and friends in Tuscany. Today, Vogue.com shared highlights and exclusive photos from their destination wedding.
While their beautiful venue, the Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco, looks like it’s straight out of a storybook, we were most taken by the three dresses the bride wore throughout the whirlwind weekend—two from Valentino and one from Christy Rilling Studio.
“I had such a great time creating the fashion story for my wedding weekend!” the actress and model told Vogue.com. “For my ceremony dress, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the fantastic team at Valentino. They are the best at creating delicate, beautiful lace and details, and their Italian heritage kept the fashion and feel authentic to our venue. The design process was extremely collaborative, so I was able to really include my personal style and create my dream dress.” (The evening before, Kate wore a crimson lace Valentino look for the “red”-themed rehearsal dinner.)
On her wedding night, Kate changed into a sparkly, knee length number that recalled the glitz of Old Hollywood by Christy Rilling Studio. “I wanted a dress that I could have fun in, but that still brought the glamour,” she said.
