Princess Beatrice Marries Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at a Secret Ceremony in Windsor

By Maria Ward

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi said their vows in front of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh at a private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor this morning. The couple sadly had to cancel their big royal wedding because of the Covid-19 crisis but decided to go ahead with a small service before an intimate group of about 20 close friends and family.

Princess Beatrice had been engaged to Mapelli Mozzi since September 2018 and has had to push the wedding date back several times. The couple wanted the Queen to be in attendance but were also very aware of the need to avoid undertaking unnecessary health risks during this difficult time, so they kept the affair very low-key and seized the opportunity to make things official before Her Majesty heads to Balmoral. We’ll keep updating this post as details emerge, and in the interim, cheers to the happy couple!
