We knew that Prince George and Princess Charlotte were expected to participate in their uncle Harry’s wedding. Nevertheless, questions remained. Would Charlotte reprise her adorable Windsor wave, memorably seen last month when she went to meet her baby brother, Prince Louis? Would Prince George struggle, and be scolded by his mother, as it happened at the wedding of his aunt, Pippa? Yes and no. In the end, Princess Charlotte did give, not one, but two waves. The first took place upon her arrival to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Charlotte and George were, like the other bridesmaids and page boys in the wedding, accompanied by their mother. Kate Middleton held Charlotte’s hand, and appeared to ask if she wanted to wave to the crowd.
Charlotte, like the other bridesmaids, wore a white dress and a white rose wreath to the wedding. George wore a black ensemble, which appeared to be a miniature iteration of the Blues and Royals military uniforms worn by Prince Harry and Prince William. As Prince George and Princess Charlotte made their way down the aisle at the chapel, they held hands with their fellow bridal party members. Charlotte once again waved when she excited the church. And as for Prince George? He didn’t cry!
