Torrie Marta, who works in the fashion and art industries, chicly asked Beaubleu CEO Nicolas Ducoudert for a cigarette one day in Paris. He told her he was out,  and she boldly and cheekily accused him of lying and walked away. But the City of Love has its ways, and two hours later, she walked into a bar across Châtelet, and Nicolas was perched at the counter. He saw her and very Frenchly said, “Hey, you! Have you calmed down yet?” She smirked and replied, “Maybe.”

After six years together, Nicolas proposed at the most sacred place in the world to him, his grandmother’s house in Ecossas, France. Once engaged, the pair visited his godmother’s home in Mallorca, which led them to fall in love with the island and choose it as their wedding venue. The celebration would be inspired by the nostalgia of Nicolas’s childhood and Torrie’s European summers. Bright greens, yellows, blues, and summer hues highlighted the atmosphere and bold fashion that was called for.

To bring their summer wedding to life, the couple enlisted Maia Events Mallorca to plan and Over The Moon Editor’s Pick Photographer Jenny Losee.

On July 12, 2024, Nicolas walked down the aisle at Parròquia Sant Joan Baptista to the song “Mes Hommes” by Barbara, which was dedicated to him and his brothers by his late mother. He wore a Robert Kerr bespoke Caccioppoli double-breasted suit with a pin that held pictures of his mother, grandmother, and grandfather in it and a custom “Madame Beaubleu” watch—both gifted to him by Torrie.

Then Torrie met him, as “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve rang out—the same song that played during Nicolas’s proposal. She looked beautiful in the River dress by Danielle Frankel, styled with Christie Nicolaides’s Graciela earrings, a Tiffany & Co. bracelet, Manolo Blahnik Hangisis, and a bouquet by Flowerscence. Hairstylist Elia Martine and makeup artist Miriyanni Brown made sure the bride’s beauty looked stayed put (and gorgeous) in the high-season heat.

The most touching moment of the day was during the ceremony when the couple exchanged vows in their native languages—a gesture to symbolize their deep commitment. And after the traditional Catholic ceremony and the couple were announced as officially wed, the party started at Finca Son Togores with The Juanda Trio and DJ Pauline of Panela Productions. The newlyweds wowed guests with a full-length waltz and Argentine tango to “Serenade for Strings” by Antonín Dvořák and “Por una Cabeza” by Carlos Gardel.

The final picturesque farewell happened the next day via a luxurious brunch on a catamaran—talk about smooth sailing into married life.
