We’ve Been Graced With Yet Another Royal Wedding

By Shayna Seid

Another week, another royal wedding! This time, the celebrations took place in Germany, where Duchess Sophie Württemberg tied the knot with French aristocrat Maximilien of Andigné in the Castle of Tegernsee just outside of the Bavarian Alps.

The lovely bride wore a similar dress to the Givenchy gown worn by Meghan Markle when she married Prince Harry earlier this year. After all, both dresses are simple and sophisticated long-sleeved dresses with a wide boat neckline—although Sophie’s did include a thin belt at the waist.

The 24-year-old bride is the daughter of the Duke of Württemberg, and a descendant of the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg, which ruled from 1805 to 1918. The groom, meanwhile, is a VP at energy derivatives company Mitsui Bussan Commodities.

Fingers crossed we have a few more royal nuptials left before the year’s out.
