Grace Kelly’s Granddaughter Charlotte Casiraghi Is Reportedly Engaged

Grace Kellys wedding dress is arguably the twentieth century’s most iconic wedding gown. But now, it may be about to meet its match. Charlotte Casiraghi, the granddaughter of the late Princess of Monaco, is reportedly engaged to be married.

The news was first reported by Hola! earlier this month. However last night, Charlotte was seen wearing an engagement ring at the annual Bal de la Rose. Following this, many outlets, including People, confirmed the news.

Charlotte reportedly plans to marry film producer Dimitri Rassam, after dating Rassam since December 2016. Currently, the couple split their time between Monaco, Paris, and Los Angeles. They became engaged three weeks ago, while on an Austrian ski trip with Charlotte’s mother, Princess Caroline of Hanover. Princess Caroline was the oldest child of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace of Monaco. Her younger brother, Prince Albert II, is the current monarch of Monaco.

At the Bal de la Rose last night, Charlotte wore a dramatic one-shoulder black gown fringed with white feathers. And while it’s anyone’s guess what she’ll wear to her upcoming wedding, which will apparently take place in July, we’d put our money on Chanel or Gucci. Charlotte and her mother Caroline have frequently worn designs by the French house, and are well acquainted with Karl Lagerfeld (the designer even escorted her mother to the ball last night). Charlotte has also served as an equestrian ambassador for Gucci, and as the face of a beauty campaign for the Italian brand. In other words, the bride-to-be is in good, and very fashionable, hands.
