Sustainable Colombian children’s brand Agua by Agua Bendita just launched its first kid’s wear capsule collection exclusively at one of our favorite luxury retailers, Maisonette. The offering includes eight chic, patterned designs for your little ones— and there’s even swim! And all the clothes match Agua’s Resort ’20 collection, so #twinning is very encouraged.
Maisonette co-founders Sylvana Durrett and Luisana Mendoza and Agua Bendita co-founders Catalina Alvarez and Mariana Hinestroza not only share Latin American roots but also similar standards. Both brands are founded by moms who uphold artisanal and ecologically conscious principles in fashion.
Patterns include rivieras, dragonflies, and watercolor vignettes. Another print shows vintage stamps from the countries that comprised the Gran Colombia in the early nineteenth century.
The Herbarium dress, Nativa one-piece swimsuit, and the Pomelo dress are available in sizes for 2 to 10-year-olds. The dresses are made with natural fibers, and the swimsuits are made from recycled plastic. They even minimized waste production by reusing stock fabric from the Women’s Resort Collection ’20. Alvarez says that both brands advocate “for the added value of handmade and consciously crafted products.”
The launch also includes the Nick trunk for boys. The co-founders of Maisonette recognize the “huge demand for thoughtful and elevated mommy-and-me fashion. These collections often overlook boys, so we are particularly thrilled to have an adorable swim trunk as part of the capsule collection.”
Due to the shared values of the two brands, Durrett and Mendoza believe “that this particular partnership feels like a family affair.”
We can confirm that this capsule collection even looks like a family affair. Nearly the whole family can wear an Agua by Agua Nativa dragonfly swimsuit!
These dresses are perfect for a family vacation or even for whimsical flower girl dresses. Perhaps at the next summer wedding? Shop now at Maisonette!
