Valentine’s Day Gifts: For Your Galentines

By Alexandra Macon

You can thank Leslie Knope for bringing the magic that is Galentine’s Day into our lives. During an episode of Parks and Recreation, the overachiever (played by Amy Poehler) introduced this alternate version of Valentine’s Day to the world. For her annual “ladies celebrating ladies” brunch, Leslie gifted her besties hand-crocheted flower pens, glass portraits, and a personalized 5,000-word essay of why each of her friends is so wonderful. Unsurprisingly, the fictional holiday went on to become a national one, with women around the country taking a page from Leslie’s playbook and celebrating their BFFs in February, too. For those throwing their own Galentine’s Day brunch and unsure of what to buy, below we suggest a few trinkets all of your girls are sure to love.
