What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Christopher Hessney, the founder of event company Hessney & Co., is a trendsetter. He has planned extravaganzas for Goop, Martha Stewart, and Maison Margiela. Back in the fall of 2018, he and his now husband Simon Adrian Miall got married in their very own wedding extravaganza at Villa Balbiano in Lake Como. Take a peek at some of their wedding photos below by Christian Oth Studio.

Chris and Simon are now passed the registry phase in life, but that doesn’t mean the event planner didn’t jump at the chance to create a dream wish list. “There aren’t any [registry] regrets, but I do wish the Baccarat Crystal Clear Glass to-go cups by Virgil Abloh had existed,” Chris admits. He also would add Stephanie Fishwick stationery, if he were to get a registry do-over.

If you ask Chris, he and Simon’s shared aesthetic is “priceless and timeless”—attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship always stand out to them. As a result, they gravitated toward their go-to brands: Laboratorio Paravicini and Match, but also loved Paul Arnhold Glass pieces and a classic Le Creuset set.

“I chose Paravicini plates because everything is handmade, and it is just so beautiful.” Chris adds, “The Paul Arnhold glass carafe is a great way to elevate any table, whether it’s filled with water or iced tea, it adds an exciting layer.”

And when asked to give an important tip to engaged couples making their registries for the first time, Chris confidently says, “Have fun with it; pick timeless pieces that mean something to both of you and items you will cherish that will last a lifetime.”
