Welcome to Miami: Harley Viera-Newton’s Favorite Bachelorette Hot Spots

HVN-bachelorette-miami-2

While HVN designer, DJ, and model Harley Viera-Newton tied the knot with a quintessentially downtown NYC wedding this past October (where she wore no less than three Valentino dresses!), her bachelorette party could never be anywhere other than Miami. A huge Magic City fan, Harley has never shied away from showing her love for South Beach’s neon colors, piña coladas, and penchant for all things over the top. Back in September, she and her best friends headed down to Florida and hit all of Harley’s favorite hot spots . . . in a pink limo to boot—making for one blowout hen party. For those planning an upcoming vacation down there this holiday season or a bachelorette weekend in the months to come, below, Harley shares her top picks for where to stay, what to eat, and where to shop when “partying in the city where the heat is on.”

Soho Beach House, the Miami branch of the international club, has perfectly appointed rooms with mosaic tiled floors, walk in showers, and the standard Cowshed bath products. It’s also the only house that boasts a private beach for members. “I recommend laying out all day and enjoying the great menu and piña coladas,” says Harley. “The weekend brunch is also essential when hungover!”

If you find yourself wanting to get your shop on, Harley recommends checking out Laure Hériard Dubreuil’s high end fashion store, The Webster, inside an old Art Deco building on Collins Avenue—there’s “an amazing selection of designer and contemporary fashion.” And if scouring racks upon racks of vintage is up your alley, head to Fly Boutique in the MiMo district.

If you’re looking for a fancy dinner option, Harley suggests Casa Tua, a boutique hotel in a Mediterranean villa with an Italian restaurant that’s always a good idea.

As a professional DJ, Harley of course knows where one should go to dance all. night. long. She recommends LIV at the Fontainebleau, for “a true superclub experience.”

If you’re not looking to dance but want fun specialty cocktails, she likes the fantastically ornate Faena Hotel, which has a number of indoor and outdoor bars.

Want to skip clubbing and keep things low-key? Pineapple cocktails and bowling at the Basement Miami at the Edition Hotel are the way to go.

Finally, for all your kitschy souvenir needs, head to Lincoln Road in South Beach—Harley’s go-to for “funny airbrush tees.”
