Content creator Jade Mitchell-Clyde (known as Jade Lily on Instagram) and Prime Video Business Opps & Partnerships Manager Niko Cueva crossed paths in the same place where her parents first met. Jade’s dad was a bouncer, and her mother was a bartender. He was still friends with the owners after they turned the club into a restaurant and managed to get Jade a job when she moved out to Los Angeles at 18 years old. “I ended up having a few shifts with Niko,” Jade shares. “He was bartending and had had this job since he was 16, through high school, college, internships. He had recently graduated college and was planning to quit soon, but we met right before. He acted wayyy cooler than he actually is, but I was instantly interested.”

After six-and-a-half years together, Niko worked with Jade’s agent to surprise her with a proposal under the guise of a fake influencer trip to Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. She was hesitant to accept the offer, since they planned to move into their home two weeks after, but eventually, she agreed. “After getting massages and horseback riding, we had a beautiful walk through to dinner,” Jade recalls of the vacation. “The second we stepped out of our room, Niko began crying and saying all the romantic things, as one does. Turning a corner, I was surprised with all of our family and friends, including people who came from out of state. Niko got on one knee and pulled the ring out of his boot, and well obviously, I said yes.”
The engaged pair are getting married next summer at her grandparents’ home in Northern California. And to prepare, Jade is sharing her Over The Moon Dream Registry:
The Culver City–based bride-to-be describes her style as “minimal and classy, not in a super modern way.” She goes on to say, “In fashion, I gravitate toward basics and everyday pieces with a funky twist—pop of color, texture, weird structure. I also LOVE a weird shoe, and I’m obsessed with vintage fashion. I think anyone could tell you my aesthetic is classic while simultaneously giving an extra edge of weird.”
When Jade and Niko moved into their historic home from the ’20s, she immediately finished the living room, as hosting is their love language. “I also consulted with an interior designer more so to confirm what I already thought the space needed,” Jade shares. “Our whole den is completely vintage pieces. I’m really inspired by 1950s French decor—also obsessed with Nancy Meyers and Martha Stewart aesthetics. Like I said, I have that weird edge in home decor too, so it’s definitely a balance of trying to blend all the things I love to create a good feng shui that also fits with a 100-year-old Spanish style home.”
For Jade’s Dream Registry, her must-have items included “anything Le Creuset period, a good wine glass set, treat yourself and include luxurious bedding, and lots of appliances/accoutrement for hosting.” The Olive Dutch Oven particularly drew her in. “It would look stunning in any kitchen and could even be a centerpiece for holiday,” she says. “I added all the other pieces in this color to my registry.”
Moving to the bedroom, the Venus Collection is ideal for playing with different color combinations. “Also, it’s all cashmere, so this will make our bed feel like the most luxurious hotel room,” Jade gushes.
The bride-to-be leaves us with advice for other couples making their own Over The Moon Registries: “Add the things you absolutely need!!! It may be alluring to add as many things as you can, but nobody likes repeats or clutter. Also, have fun with it, and make sure to include things that you would probably never purchase for yourself.”
