Artist, designer, and Over The Moon Bride Meredith Hanson and TikTok Brand Partnerships Manager Patrick Schramm said, “I do,” earlier this month in their new home base of Princeton, New Jersey—the couple purchased their home late last summer and made the move west from New York City. As Meredith was planning a wedding and settling in to her new digs at the same time, what better moment for an Over The Moon Registry to be made? Below, the artist shares how she and Patrick mix styles in their registry and some of her favorite must-adds.
Meredith describes her aesthetic as “classic meets country home and garden with a DIY twist.” “As an artist, my subjects and palettes are constantly changing from one project to the next,” she continues. “I feel drawn to all kinds of color combinations and unique patterns when it comes to home decor.”
When it comes to decorating their interior spaces, Meredith and Patrick have a love for incorporating antique pieces, especially ones passed down from their family. “Our home is on a beautiful 300-year-old farm just a few minutes from downtown Princeton, so we wanted to decorate with a country/equestrian/garden theme in mind,” she shares. “To achieve that end, we used some of my early oil paintings and Patrick’s beautiful antique prints that are special to both of us.”
And who does an artist turn to for inspiration? “One of my favorite coffee table books that I flip through regularly is my DeGournay book that I purchased from Beacon Hill Books & Cafe on beautiful hand-painted murals,” Meredith answers. “I am saving a wall in our house to paint a mural on later this year, and I’m currently brainstorming a theme that will tie into our country/garden aesthetic.”
The couple’s Over The Moon Registry really helped the couple collate their own personal styles and interests too. “Patrick and I really enjoy collaborating on different decorative styles, although I did have to convince him to hang up his New York Rangers photos and jerseys in our basement/den!” Meredith laughs. “Once we were settled, we were able to go through our things to itemize what we had versus what we needed. . .that is where the OTM Registry came in! We enjoyed picking out an assortment of home items from OTM for our kitchen and dining room table. Patrick is the cook, while I am the tablescape artist, so our registry is a blend of cookware and special decorative pieces that will be used for hosting dinner parties on our patio.”
