What makes the perfect registry? Our Dream Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re single, engaged, or already married. (Because we’re taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw’s playbook and saying one should be able to register for Manolos no matter what their relationship status!) Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Celebrity stylist Micaela Erlanger is behind some of our favorite red carpet looks on Meryl Streep and Lupita Nyong’o. She’s also added bridal styling to her business and is a bride-to-be herself. Micaela actually had to re-plan her wedding at least three times due to COVID-19 and ended up getting her marriage license in Miami and eloping to St Barths this August—while wearing some fabulous outfits, we might add. Next year, she’ll be saying, “I do,” again in a bigger celebration. As Micaela is no-doubt creating her own registry at the moment, she was gracious enough to double up and create a Dream Registry for us too!

The stylist describes her personal aesthetic as “classic and timeless with modern yet playful touches,” and before decorating her spaces in New York and Miami, she envisions how she wants to feel—relaxed, inspired, calm…Micaela also reveals that while her husband Mac Osbourne has a different style to hers, he has a great eye. She says, “He tends to let me lead the way but makes his opinions heard, ha!”

For interior decorating inspiration, Micaela turns to Amy Courtney Design, who has worked with her on every one of her apartments and, most recently, her styling studio in NYC. And for her Dream Registry, the stylist focused on things she might not purchase herself but could really use. “A new coffee maker, a new bed frame, and of course some beautiful decorative objects” were definitely on her list of must-haves.

Specifically, she chose beautiful bedding because “the bedroom is where you spend most of your time, so you should love it.” Then, she added dinner plates and whimsical table decor. Micaela reveals, “Building a home where you can entertain and celebrate is something I look forward to doing with friends and family.”

Micaela leaves us with a great tip for engaged couples making their own registries now, for the first time. “Think about what you need and what you will use,” she advises. “Will it grow old with you? Will it serve a purpose? Or will it make you smile and happy?”
