As a former celebrity stylist, Kate Halfpenny makes brides feel like red-carpet stars on their wedding day. Each dress seems to embody a distinct personality, as Halfpenny’s creations are highly imaginative and yet real-world wearable. For Bridal Fall 2022, she emphasized quality over quantity with a trifecta of main character–worthy styles that let fit, cut, and detail take center stage.

The first look was a long-sleeve dress crafted in stretch crepe. With a dramatic slit cut up to there, it hugged the body in all the right places. An optional asymmetric veil extended from a square neckline and draped over one shoulder, creating a flowing tulle cape that will make a strong statement down the aisle. Next came a sleek column with an overlay skirt for an added layer of drama (and pockets, no less!). For the full effect, brides can style with an oversized oh-so-darling detachable Mikado bow.

The grand finale took ten meters of hand-gathered Italian silk organza to create a voluminous ball skirt of gargantuan proportions. With a duchess satin cumberbund waistband, floral pastel watercolor design, and a petticoat for maximum fullness, the end results were unequivocally gorgeous. The strapless gown was at its best paired with removable silk organza leg-of-mutton sleeves—perfect for princess brides looking to create their own fairytale magic on the big day.
