What makes the perfect baby registry? Our Dream Baby Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to wedding planners and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Almost exactly a year after tying the knot in New York City, model Kate Love and Miami Heat player Kevin Love welcomed their first child—a beautiful baby girl—on June 10, 2023. After sharing her Dream Wedding Registry with us, Kate is again giving us an inside look—this time—at her Over The Moon Baby Registry, filled with everything one could want for their littlest love.

For the nursery, Kate chose a neutral color palette. “I wanted something very zen, calming, and gender neutral,” she shares. “My daughter is always wearing lots of neutrals. Little babies grow so quickly and grow out of clothing so fast, so I wanted pieces that could work for future siblings easily!”

When it came to creating her baby registry, the new mom says she relied on her other mom friends for recommendations and advice. “I would send them links and ideas and get all sorts of opinions and try to decipher what I thought would work best for us,” Kate says. “I wanted special pieces that I thought would grow with the baby, like a blanket, a favorite book, her first ornament—pieces that I thought she could keep forever.”

Now that “Baby Love” is here, Kate says the best things about motherhood are having a new reason to be excited to wake up every morning, learning and seeing new things every day, and, of course, cuddling and cherishing her daughter’s adorable face. On the flip side, Kate says “the predictable lack of sleep” has been difficult. “However, I personally found pregnancy exhaustion much worse than [what comes with a] newborn!”

The model mama leaves us with key advice on parenthood and the mantra she now lives by: “The stereotypical warning that ‘it goes by so fast’ has proven to be frighteningly true,” she says. “So just try to be present and savor it all!”
