This was co-creative directors Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim’s first bridal show for Oscar de la Renta, and it did not disappoint. The “first look,” so to speak, was comprised of two adorable flower girls wearing picture perfect dresses accessorized with Gigi Burris’ sun hats (that we basically wanted to steal). Blossoms and greenery were a theme throughout the collection, and floral appliqués—a longtime ODLR staple—were prominent on many of the gowns and cathedral length veils. There was also another homage to the past: a dress inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker’s 2014 Met Gala look—but instead of the late designer’s name emblazoned on the back, this gown fittingly said: “Just Married.”
