Bridal Fashion Week: Reem Acra’s Fall 2018 Collection

By Over The Moon

At Reem Acra’s Fall 2018 show at the New York Public Library, models walked down the runway with baby’s breath floral crowns adorning their heads, an accessory which helped set the tone for this new collection of delicate and unapologetically feminine wedding dresses. The opening look was a stunner: a long-sleeved, full-skirted organza ballgown that evoked the elegance of Grace Kelly’s often copied wedding dress. That regal vibe continued throughout, with several dresses embellished with luxurious pearls and pailettes, and another memorable gown with a jewel-encrusted bolero that seemed made for a royal wedding. There were unexpected silhouettes, too, for bolder brides who can perhaps pull off a halter neckline with a navel length décolletage, a translucent skirt paired with pretty underpinnings, or a gold-embroidered design with cleverly placed petals that hides just enough.
