Bridal Fashion Week: Marchesa’s Fall 2018 Collection

By Over The Moon

Marchesa has always known exactly what a bride wants—it’s part of the reason why so many women, including many famous ones like Blake Lively, have tied the knot in their dresses. This intuition was on full display for Marchesa’s latest fall 2018 collection as designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig offered, not only a number of their traditional, show-stopping bridal gowns, but a range of accessories for modern brides who increasingly like to change their look as the wedding night progresses. There were Chantilly capes that could be worn down the aisle, then shed in time for cocktails. Long removable trains offered the option of an early dramatic entrance, followed by comfort and ease on the dance floor later. A few 80s trends also made their way into Marchesa’s latest bridal presentation, notably a pair of large shoulder bows on a figure-hugging gown and a mini-dress with puffy sleeves that vaguely recalled Princess Diana’s voluminous look when she married Prince Charles.
