Another day, another surprise engagement! On Sunday, the world learned Justin Bieber had reportedly proposed to on-again-off-again girlfriend Hailey Baldwin while on vacation at the Bahamas. According to TMZ, the 24-year-old singer proposed in front of a crowd at a restaurant to the 21-year-old model who was completely shocked.
The two have been long time friends who briefly dated in 2016—who can forget those vacation photos or that GQ cover story, in which Bieber opened up about their relationship? Their recent rekindling though has only been going on for about a month or so, making their engagement feel just as speedy as Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s fast track relationship.
The Biebs took to Instagram to confirm the news late in the day on Monday, saying: “Was gonna wait a while to say anything but word travels fast, listen plain and simple Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you! So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY. I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make. My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first! You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!! Can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense! The thing I am most excited for is that my little brother and sister get to see another healthy stable marriage and look for the same!!! Meanwhile, Hailey has been liking a few congratulatory comments on her Instagram, and Justin’s parents both shared posts. “Love Love Love Love Love Love Love,” tweeted Pattie Mallette, Justin’s mom on July 7th. While his dad posted a photo of his son with the caption: “Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!”
As for the ring, so far the only glimpse we’ve gotten is a blurry photo of Hailey taken by an onlooker, where she is seen sporting a mighty big diamond on her left finger while wearing a yellow bikini at a beach bar, and in Justin’s latest post she’s wearing what looks like a diamond infinity band.
