On Friday, Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor wearing a beautiful, off-the-shoulder Peter Pilotto dress and a diamond and emerald tiara. While their royal wedding was televised for the world to see (and 3 million people tuned it), the celebrations that followed were kept under wraps. But thanks to Instagram—and a few rule breakers who broke the strict social media ban—we managed to get a sneak peek into the weekend of festivities.
The get-away car
Unlike the vintage-inspired light blue electric Jaguar-E Type Zero that whisked Harry and Meghan away to their wedding reception at Frogmore House, Eugenie and Jack chose something a little more futuristic and exited Windsor Castle in an Aston Martin DB10 sedan, which was specifically made for the 2015 James Bond movie, Spectre.
The wedding cake
A five-tiered, autumn-themed, red velvet and chocolate confection baked by Sophie Cabot was served at the lavish post-ceremony breakfast. If you think the cake looked a little big, remember there were over 850 guests to serve.

The big announcement
On the Monday morning following the wedding, the world was informed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expecting their first child next spring, but the royal family reportedly learned about the big news beforehand during Eugenie’s wedding. More thoughts on this later!
The evening reception look
For their black-tie party at the bride’s father’s residence, the Royal Lodge, the bride changed into a stunning blush-colored dress by Zac Posen, diamond and emerald drop earrings (a gift from her new husband), and a diamond wheat hair slide borrowed from her grandmother, the Queen. The hair slide once belonged to Queen Victoria and was originally made in 1830 for Queen Adelaide, wife of William IV. Talk about vintage!
The musical entertainment
On Friday evening, while Casamigos tequila and a gourmet pizza truck fed guests, Robbie Williams reportedly “jumped on stage” for a surprise performance of his most popular songs during the evening reception at the Royal Lodge. Meanwhile on Saturday, Princess Eugenie’s close friend Ellie Goulding performed a medley of her hits, making this the second royal wedding she’s sang at as she also did the honors at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011.
The festival-themed party
Just a few weeks after Chiara Ferragani’s lavish carnival-themed wedding in Sicily, Princess Eugenie and her groom also threw a fun, festival themed party complete with a ferris wheel, carnival games, and a carousel that featured the names of guests on several of the animals. Personalized unicorns is certainly one way to top Chiara’s wedding.
The guest list
Let’s just let the Instagram photos speak for themselves, shall we?
