What makes the perfect baby registry? Our Dream Baby Registry series answers just that, providing an endless source of inspiration for those putting together their own Over The Moon registries. We enlisted the help of some of our most stylish and in-the-know friends—whether they’re already proud parents or still awaiting the arrival of a little one. Peek inside the registries of tastemakers, from editors and stylists to designers and beyond. Your dream registry is just a click away.

Lindsey Kate Metselaar, the voice and mind behind the popular relationship podcast We Met At Acme, and Steven Thomas Greene wed on February 12, 2022, in a beautiful ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. After creating a Dream Wedding Registry for us, Lindsey is back to share her Dream Baby Registry in preparation for the arrival of her and Steven’s first child! “We are so excited and so grateful to be pregnant after what felt like eternity, when we were struggling through fertility issues,” Lindsey shares. “Our little one is a boy, and we are so excited because my husband is also the first born and a big brother. I come from a family of two girls, so having a boy will be fun and different for me too! We’re 98 percent sure of the name already, and it’s definitely on the classic side and his middle name will be after a close relative.”

Lindsey is hoping for a minimalist vibe for the baby’s room. “I’m sure moms are laughing because it’s close to impossible to be minimal when you have a newborn, but I’d like to at least try—blues and grays and whites!” she exclaims. For her Dream Baby Registry, the mom-to-be chose items that her son can grow into or pieces that are functional and will make her own life easier. “The must-haves for me are definitely the high chair and the bouncer. The bouncer I’m sure we’ll use right away, but the high chair will be very necessary, once it’s time to transition to them eating on their own. I also think the air purifier is necessary because living in NYC, you never know what air you are exposing your baby to!”

When it comes to motherhood, Lindsey is really looking forward to her new title. “It sounds cheesy and obvious, but being called mommy is such a special thing,” she says. “I really look forward to seeing my husband, Steven, as a dad, and I’m also excited to have a hand in raising a good man because I think we need more of those.” Amen to that.

Lindsey leaves us with maybe the most relatable and important advice about pregnancy and motherhood: “The best advice I’ve been given is whenever you get unsolicited advice, smile and nod and proceed to do whatever you think is best.”
